On RedHat 7.2, using the 0.43 rpm package, I don't have this problem at all.  
Grustibus works (and looks) just fine.

If I exit the program and re-load it (very seldom, I just leave it running in the 
background of my desktop) it seems to decide that my "romdir has changed, re-build the 
database" or wording to that effect.  I just tell it to go ahead and everything is 
dandy.

I don't have this problem either.

I really like grustibus, actually.  I used to use qmamecat but switched a number of 
months back.
