I'm looking for a simple way to get a full-screen menu up, something like
gxmame or advancemenu, without having a window border around it.  All that
I want to see is the menu screen, in other words, until I exit the program
and return to my Gnome desktop.

What about geometry?

Is this possible?  I've been googling my little heart out and haven't
found anything that's directly on point.
