Gnome doesn't draw the window borders - the window manager does. I use
Sawfish with Gnome and I can change the border (or take it away) by
clicking on the icon on the topleft corner and selecting Frame Type |
None. YMMV with a different window manager, but should be similar (Icewm
and Enlightenment work similarily)
