as well, xmame source is probably what folks will start porting to the
increasing number of portable devices (cellphones, pda's) running linux
that *do* run at low speeds, so there's no sense in throwing it out because
"it'll never be used".  besides, i still run xmame on a pII-300 myself...and
it works reasonably well for most of the games i play.

guess it's a moot point with the other reasons already mentioned, but i
wanted to throw in my $.02---technology never really dies until way past
its time =)
