LCDs (particularly older ones) don't like running at less than their native 
resolution (usually 1024x768 for 15"), but Xv can helps out here.

People say that the response rate of LCDs is lacking for games, but I've got a 
couple here, and don't see a major problem.

LCDs are also a damn sight safer to hack around with :)

The major drawback is the perfectly flat rectangular screen - arcade screens 
are traditionally like goldfish bowls in comparison...
