We should at least fix that if we feel Ubuntu 12.04.4 is the wrong way
to go and give some reason so the Ubuntu people have a chance to learn

compatibility with older XP machines would decrease noticeably.

Because it's currently the only kernel (plus the X.org version
that goes with it) that still supports the restricted nvidia-96
driver for old Nvidia video cards. Same goes for third-party SiS
671 drivers.

Ubuntu 12.04.4 LTS supports. It stays on the 3.2.0 kernel
instead. What is the process to have this fixed? Withdraw

architectures) and make it available for download through my

which is the kernel of Xubuntu 12.04.
