IBM and Sun are both supporting XUL in Mozilla, and have for years. Apple
currently employ one of XUL's main editors.

It seems you have missed the fact that all the companies you list have
already understood the power of XUL (Mozilla XUL, as you put it).
Microsoft, as usual, is several years behind here.
