Ian, you're a dreamer. How is Sun supporting XUL? Why not get in my Luxor XUL hot seat for a day and experience all the love Sun throws your way for the XUL advocacy? Also how's the Mozilla and Java integration coming along? Sun hasn't contributed a thing for years. Just witness the Mozilla WebClient, Java XPCOMP, Java Mozilla Plugins projects and so on. Ok on to Apple. Just because Apple employs David Hayatt doesn't mean they suport XUL. David is just another Apple employee and hardly can rock the boat but has to shut up. You also seemed to have missed out on the fact that Apple choose the XUL-free KHTML code base. Now on to IBM: How is IBM supporting XUL? Is IBM adding it to Lotus Notes? Is IBM adding XUL to Eclipse? So far they only one who is bringing XUL to Eclipse is yours truly. Check out the XUL News Wire story titled "Luxor XUL SWT Beta 9 Pre Live" for example online @ http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.lang.xul.announce/121 > It seems you have missed the fact that all the > companies you list have > already understood the power of XUL (Mozilla XUL, as > you put it). > Microsoft, as usual, is several years behind here. To conlude you might be a world-class test engineer but you've no clue about business. And Microsoft believe it or not is serveral years ahead of the rest. Just witness all the new stuff Microsoft will unwrap tomorrow at its Longhorn developer conference in Los Angeles. - Gerald ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: The SF.net Donation Program.
