Good day Uros,

Splendid to meet you, I guess I am the tried. :)

I have organized a whole range of documentation on the hardware here:
http://lists.auroraux.org/pipermail/discuss/2009-July/000002.html
On the AuroraUX mailing list. (you may like to join up there, you too
Martin.. We can have long quite threads to our self. Whatever suits
you two best.)
I can setup a branch with commit access for all three of us as a
playground also and we can do resync upstream with the osol project
once we start getting something usable as well.

In particular, You may wish to note well: http://www.x.org/docs/AMD/

I, myself, have been reading over
http://developer.amd.com/gpu_assets/R700-Family_Instruction_Set_Architecture.pdf
starting from yesterday.
I picked this GPU as its 'stream computing capable', that is, it can
act like a GP-GPU and I am interested in LLVM and scientific
applications directly and 3D support indirectly.

I think we should perhaps come to a agreement on a board (of the same
series) we can all afford.
Also, If Sun could at the very least comment on what they are *not*
working on so we don't dub workload that would be *most* helpful.

Side note to Martin, Thanks for putting us all in touch !

Thanks Uros and Martin, Look forward to work with you lads,
Best Regards,
Edward O'Callaghan.
