Not really.

The older Xsun* servers only support really old hardware not generally in use
any more - if you read the hardware list in the README.Solaris you'll see Xsun*
only supports:
Sun/2 bw2 cg2/3/5
Sun/3 bw2 cg2/3/4/5
Sun/4 bw2 cg2/4
SPARCstation cg3/6
Sun/386i mono color
Only the cg6 will work in a machine that can run Solaris 10 or OpenSolaris, and
that driver is also available in the Xorg tree. You might be able to get Xorg
working on a cg6 with that, but I've never tried.

As far as I'm aware that is true for now. If "in the next release" you mean
the next full release of Solaris (i.e. when Nevada is finished), then it may
not be true as we are working with the sparc graphics team to have them port
their drivers from Xsun to Xorg.
