oh yeah, one more thing: we all know BFU breaks package management. are the 
first two methods BFU proof? (building from source and installing, and 
X-upgrade) you say X-upgrade will remove / add packages, won't that _not_ work 
on a BFU'd system?

i'm just trying to weigh the options, because if those two bugfixes will make 
life more bearable in the short-term and i will still be able to upgrade the X 
server when the time comes, i'm gonna go build b55, otherwise that would be a 
sore waste of time, right?

Info's sparse but from the wording it seems to imply just that: enable AGP to 
give the chip more RAM and enable DRM for acceleration...
