I've tried the 915resolution for my intel 945GM card. Clearly, it can't find the correct resolution, 1440*900. I've checked, the driver with this 945GM card is vesa, it is picked by Solaris when I install the OS (build 53). i810 can't work on my laptop.
I wrote a script, named K12resolution to hack the VBIOS, and set the xorg.conf to used the highest resolution, which 915resolution could find. But the X11 was failed when starting. It's the problem I met. btw, How to upgrade to the latest build version? Should I download all the dvd or cd images first? It's a time-consuming work for flashget:) 2007/1/15, Christian Kelly <christian.kelly at sun.com>: > > Can't remember exactly what versions I've tried, a couple of the snv_5x > versions anyway. I want to use this machine with an external display (at > 1920x1200) so I'll probably need to tweak the memory settings.
