Did the home directory for the "normal user login" exist prior to
doing the new load of S10U5? If so, the Screen Resolution applet
was probably run for this user prior to doing the new load of S10U5.

According to the log file, the i810 driver is setting the virtual size
to 1280x1024.

Since a new load of S10U5 should have wiped out root's home directory,
does this problem happen when logging in a root or in a new test user
environment?
