Dear editor As a new student at Unisa I had to attend the student orientation for me to familiarize myself with institution. However I was disappointed with the with two logistics viz: 1. The venue was to small to accommodate all the students who were present that day. I couldn't understand the logic behind the decision to use Unisa Conference hall in Sunnyside. When I looked at it I thought it can accommodate close to 1000 seated students. The outgoing N(SRC) was supposed to have motivated for another venue. 2. When the outgoing NSRC president was inducting us about the SRC I thought the chairperson of the program give all the different student movements available within the institution a chance to speak so that those of us who are willing to participate can be informed about location of these organizations. Maybe that is not the case with Unisa, pardon me for being spoilt by my former institution. I hope the management together with the SRC will reflect on these issue in order for the upcoming students not to experience the same thing again and again. Regards Mr Sifiso S.
