Comrades in several meetings and discussions with comrades I always raise an
issue about this request for bail-out by motor and auto employers. There has
been several meetings with gorvt, labour and business and civil society at the
level of Nedlac. There is also a presidential task team that has been formed. My
argument in this is that as much as the industry is being affected by this
global economic meltdown nothing is being said about how has this hit the
pocket or the take home pay of a metalworker.Comrades it is clear there is no
bail-out for metalworkers. After I have raised this issue with comrades Cde
Irvin Jim also raised it in the Mbuyselo Ngwenda Memorial Lecture in P.E.So
comrades I would like to make this appeal to the leadership of Numsa to
prioritise this issue as it affects our members and to them the nearest person
to vent their anger to is the shop steward.
COMRAEDLY.

Thank you comrade president, you have cleared my mind and that is what i call
awareness of the masses so that we do not get confused and be dragged into
legal matters that need the ruling of the court of law

Comrade Zama and others,
We all saw in the news that the NPA was to meet today and discuss the matter,
some of us smell the victory.
The issue of Mama Winnie, the ANC seeked an advice from their lawyers who
advised that the constitution is silent on people who received suspended
sentences and on that basis adviced the ANC to include the name of Mama Winnie.
This is an issue of law, a court can decide if the ANC lawyers were correct or
not, not a political party. All parties in South Africa say that they respect
the rule of law, they must wait for the electoral court's decision, if they
decide to raise the complaint with the electoral court.
I hope I have helped you my fellow metalworker, Cde Zama.
Regards,
Cedric Gina.

Comrades could someone confirm the statement had over the radio this
morning about the NPA withdrawing charges against the ANC President Cde.
Jacob Zuma
Comrades I had that the IEC has proven some people otherwise that Mama
Winnie Madikizela-Mandela is eligible to be nominated into parliament.
Could some one clarify to me as how this happened, I know she was not
convicted rather given a suspended sentence as the verdict.
My confusion is around the eligibility. I would like to know when someone
eligible to be in parliament, is it five years after served your sentence
or is it five years from the day you were sentenced and would like to
know
the length of sentences for being found eligible to be part in
parliament.
Comrades I am a loyal ANC-led structures member and would like to be able
to answer these questions when asked as we sometimes come across legal
gurus who tend to confuse us. so please help
