I concur cadre. Mokoena has become nothing but a liability to us. As a
former soccer player myself, maybe unlike Cde Mxo (lol, joking mchana),
one has to know some basic principles, be it as a defender, goalkeeper,
midfielder, or striker. Mokoena's mistake is unforgiveable in that
context. You do not involve urself in a dangerous tackle as a defender
in a dangerous area, unless u were the last line of defence. I think he
must be dropped, finish en klaar. We were at the verge of history-making
by beating Brazil, but once more Mokoena denied us the opportunity. He
cost us the game against Spain also.

Leaders

I want first of all to acknowledge the capacity that comrades here in
this forum has in terms of atirculating on issues, one would think that
we are only politically inclined but we are clear in all issues.
comrades i must say South African team is ready to play in the world cup
tournament let us just allow ourselves to be proud of the boys for ones
and stop raising issues that are common in every team. One must
acknowledge that for one side to win it needs the other team to make a
mistake somewhere and really bafana-bafana has stood its ground in this
tournament.

One issue that i think needs to be revisited is the issue of our captain
who clearly does panic if we are under attack because if we check,
really there was no need for that tackle because he was not the last
player Mathew Booth ws behind him, So what i think needs to be revisited
is him being the captain of the team while where he is playing he is not
given enough chances to play hence that compromises his skill in defence

that is what i think we can dwell on, but South Africa is a best team.

I pause

I'm sure that is not the intention but imagine where the team was two
years back and the performance of yesterday, it's a big improvement and
even Brasil admit that they faced a big challenge against Bafana. Just
look at the performance of Brasil in the Confed cup and compare it to
the game of yesterday, very different.

As a South African I refuse to be proud when we play to go to penalties
whilst we have an opportunity to win the game...I can't be proud when we
defensive, yes i wont accept any explanation about Mokoena's lack of
tactical awareness/or applying basics...how do you commit a foul in that
area worse for the second time..

Indeed we have improved as a team but we need not to be always cautious
but be offensive that's what made the US to win the game agains Spain
because the took the game to them...

Really guys Santana must get his act together in terms of his tactical
approach of the game and Morris needs to come back Mokoena out qha!

Comrades I must say I'm very proud about the SA team- Bafana-Bafana,
they did us proud and they showed the world that we can play quality
football. It was just unfortunate that we lost at the last minutes.
