But this is not an 'organization of legal minds' or a formalist party but a revolutionary political organization hence we are firm on principles however flexible on practice. I am sure you agree with this comrade. If yes, lets wait for the Congress to amend the constitution. By the way, I think it would have been funny for the CC of the Party to deploy Cde Mphephethwa to government while he remains the GS, if this is the violation of the Constitution. As for me, I have absolute trust in the judgement of the Party CC hence do not doubt their collective wisdom in this instance. I do not think we should debate the issue with the view of seating/ un-seating a comrade. We all love Cde Blade. He took this office knowing that he should be full-time. General Secretary is an important office. Surely, SACP has many tried and tested comrades, if the constitution remains unchanged, then someone should (in line with the constitution) replace Cde Blade. So, my take is that the constitution should be amended or a new GS be elected at conference (if no constitutional amendment is envisaged). It is not about whether one is good in multi-tasking or not.
