Comrades With due respect could esteem comrades clarify some issues here if 60% is being sat aside for state ownership of the mining houses , how does that becames nationalisation? I know of couple of people incliding myself who for the past ten years or so bought any material which one can say is from the mineral of this world GOD. Last time I heard the left wanted SASOL to be re-nationalised and is profitable , are the mines profitable ?are we using their products the way we use SASOL ? Maybe I am stupid I don't know ANC YL position on industrial policy and labour brokers , the things that I believe thier target market is well affected daily I never heard or read about thier statment of support of organised labour when they rise this issues that ultimately affect their supposed tagert market , Has YL becames some right wing pressure grouping within the NRD or is just unfoutunate to have misguided leadership ?

I do not think the Alliance is ready for what is about to happend and as members of the YL we are left wondering what is the next step in the whole process. I wonder if the PEC did think thoroughly prior to releasing the sad statement. It looks like our comrades will now make tabloid-journalists who simply ignore facts and just write about what will excite the public. Even if it means lampooning some of tehir own as they do with others. Comrades that are branded communists While we are trying to go through the document that speaks on the Youth League's position on Nationalisation, we now have this distraction over personal issue, that does not really affect the functioning of the Youth League. I hope that it is not true that some comrades were involved in leaking information to the media, otherwise that will be really puerile and stupid of them to have done so. They will certainly not deserve our respect for that, and that will stay with them forever and stain them politically. I am sure there is a better way of handling differences than the way we are doing now. I refuse to believe that what we are seeing is the modern Youth League, no! Something is not really right here, and we must correct it. And sooner that later. Branches are supposed to prepapre for regional and provincial conferences, but they are getting distracted by non-political issues and statements issued on their behalf. Is it because in the Youth League we do not have the likes of Pallo Jordan and Zola Skweyiya to reprimand us when we err. Surely, ther must be some comrades who can do that, even if they are not in a quest to lead in any way. And they must not portray themselves as the paragon of political correctness, but as people who will make us that we are erring. Maybe we are just overwhelmed by excitement. Lembede, Tambo, Mda, Mandela, Mbeki, Zuma, Mokaba and others are not happy with what the Youth League has become. We need to be influening the ANC is some positive way, not making such headlines. Where is COSAS supposed to learn? More, espacially in their current situation, while we are busy labelling and insulting each other. > Cde Lebohang and Sandile, in as much as your worries concerning the > statement may be genuine, i suppose you must understand that there is > deeper than this.
