My dearest Communist comrades YCL for the past few months and continue to hold Bua-Thursday, and i have been fortunate that i have attended a few of these Bua-Thursday debates. i must be quick to point out that Bua-Thursday came at the right time whereby it encourage debate among fellow comrades. it is the best initiative and i hope i will not loose momentum and will continue beyond Mangaung until possible we realise Socialism in our life time.
I must also in the spirit of polemic and being comradely to the YCL, that these debate are styled in a Teacher-Student relationship, whereby a Speaker (whoever it may be) comes and address and then followed up with questions from the floor (like students in class asking a teacher) and the Speaker respond. at the end everybody goes home. I think this approach of a Student-Teacher relationship fails to add value and content of the debate, and i will urge the YCL that maybe they should look at other methods of debating, so that a Speaker talk-less and both the Speaker and the comrades elevate the debate to have content and direction with our understanding of the direction we are taking to realise Socialism in our lifetime. I will propose to YCL, that they join forces with the Communist University [CU] whereby comrades come to the CU to learn as much as possible on classic and other Marxism-Leninism documents and put them into practice on Bua-Thursday, so that even the clarity-seeking question can be located within logical Scientific of Communism, so that we can be in a position to respond meaningful to challenges that faces us all. I think CU is better placed and last SACP Congress resolved on Political education, and CU provide the theoretical part of Political Education as resolved by the Congress and YCL Bua-Thursday gives the practical aspect of the political and a Bigger school whereby the application is tested Scientifically with engagement with Speakers from the Bua-Thursday. As of now i think YCL and CU are better placed to produce sound leaders through both YCL and CU complementing each other, rather than reinventing the wheel. I am sure the Vice Chancellor of the CU will be happy to be part of assisting uFasimba as we all look forward to produce comrades for SACP who are well rounded. Sibusiso Mchunu -- You are subscribed.
