Actually this is a problem that is worth solving. One would have wanted the framers of the web to have designed out all of these idiosyncratic differences in URIs .. oh well, here we are.
I wonder if there is some quick way to form a unique hash of the actual content at the time of bookmarking and use that as the unique id, rather than the URL. Maybe some smart individual will propose a popular solution to this problem that threads through our web creating havoc wherever it goes.
