Further info on the failure to boot issue - running the firstboot.sh gives an error -
+ '[' -d /KNOPPIX ']' + exit 0 I noticed that the HAL daemon is faling to start - wonder if that is the problem? That seems to happen in all versions of attempting to boot the iso. I have tried the standard install, the no acpi,no dma etc version and the firstboot.sh command now - all failed. Can anyone confirm they have got the disk to boot? It could be down to a duff burn on my part - you never know!
