Thanks a lot for your testing feedback, James ( I hope to have guessed your name this time!! :D )
In keeping with your the second issue you pointed out, I think the solution for this might be to add some sort of delay (like 15 minutes or so) to the smart-update task. I think Yoper currently rush too much by doing this just when you log in KDM for two reasons: a) What James pointed out. The read-only lock is something quite a big bunch of users are noticing (and complaining about) lately. b) When you log in, you often open one or more applications and the fact that smart-update is also lauched makes everythig to run sensibly slower for some time. You could lauch smart-update a few minutes later and avoiding this bottleneck. I hope we get this minor issues sorted out soon. Best regards to everyone! :) >From: James Stenner <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To: Yoper Development List <yoper-dev@lists.yoper.com> >Subject: Re: [yoper-dev] Yoper 3.0.1 Titanium Maintenance Release >Date: Wed, 03 Oct 2007 10:20:40 -0500 > >I did a fresh install of the reg iso and only found two problems very >small.. >1.
