People answering questions are users just like you and me. The release of Outlook marks the end of development of Entourage but not support. Microsoft's life cycle support policy <http://support.microsoft.com/gp/lifepolicy> states that it will cease all support (updates, security patches, bug fixes, etc.) after certain milestones. Usually, those milestones are the release of a product to replace it plus a certain number of years or a certain number of years after the product was first launched. Office 2008's support life cycle ends April 9, 2013 <http://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/?p1=12853>. That doesn't mean the product will stop working. It has no built-in time bomb. It does mean that you're on your own at that point if you want to continue using the product. Once we reach that date, the only help you'll have is from other users on forums, newsgroups and mailing lists and maybe even old Microsoft knowledge base articles.
