Because Entourage doesn¹t have the engine to create a complex HTML
message, it can¹t reply/forward an HTML message without losing formatting.
Even a reply or forwarded message is a ³new² message.

Outlook 2011 finally, FINALLY supports complex HTML. It doesn¹t
necessarily include a lot of tools to make the complex HTML messages, such
as a table editor or hyperlinks in embedded pictures, but it does preserve
these items if they¹re already a part of the original mail message.

I hate to say it but you will need to upgrade to get this feature. Be on
the lookout for a trial. One usually appears a short while after the
product is released.
