You¹ve misunderstood the intention of the Move feature. It¹s meant for
moving messages between folders within Outlook. To file an open message
you just click the Move menu button and select Choose FolderŠ In the next
window you simply begin typing the name of the folder and all available
matches are provided. Once you¹ve selected a folder then that folder is
placed at the top of a recently used list for quicker access.

Consider it history.

The original Switch Identity feature was envisioned by Microsoft as a
solution to the problem of having just one Mac user account that must be
shared by many users. This is from the classic Mac OS days. With the
introduction of Mac OS X and its multiple user accounts, the need for this
feature *as it was envisioned* in Entourage and Outlook is gone.

Folks have also used this feature as an archiving mechanism, which
Microsoft wasn¹t expecting. Although Microsoft hasn¹t provided a very good
archiving solution with either Entourage or Outlook, they certainly don¹t
want to support using Switch Identity as a solution.

It¹s buried in Outlook to make it less convenient to use. We can probably
expect it to be gone in the next major version. We¹ll need to spend the
time between now and then to find a different solution for archiving.
