I personally much prefer emails to forums. I am member of couple of classic car clubs as well which always used to be on email lists. They have both gone to forums but I really get into those, I love the emails coming in to your mailbox rather than having to log on to forums and read them - but just my personal thoughts - I know a lot of people who love forums!
