Hi, Nick
When you press the Test Failover button, the master node demote itself from
master to backup, pause 3 seconds, then proceed as usual to listen for
other masters and promote itself if necessary, depending of the cluster
type selected:
When you choose the cluster type where any both nodes can be master, the
node 1 will be backup and the node 2 will be master till you push the Test
Failover on node 2 or node 2 fails. This let you make changes to the node 1
for maintenance.
When you choose the cluster type where node 1 is master and node 2 is
backup, the node 1 will be backup and the node 2 will be master only for 3
seconds. After 3 seconds from you push the Test Failover button, node 1
promote again to master and node 2 demote to backup after few seconds. This
only let you know that cluster is well configured.
I hope the behaviour of the ZLB when you press the Test Failover is now
clarified.
Of course all your suggestions are wellcome and are now in our TODO list.
Thank you very much, Nick and best regards.
