I had downloaded zenoss-1.1.1-x86.vmware.zip and zenoss-1.9.7-x86.vmware.zip
from Zenoss WEB site. and run it in vmware worksation.I like zenoss! but I
found clock in linux runs more slowly, I had find KB in wmware site.
http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&externalId=1420
I want fixe the problem ,recompile kernel or use ntp client.
but I wget the new kernel ,but can't run "make menuconfig".
I can't run "rpm" order to setup ntp-4.2.0.a.20050816-0.FC4.i386.rpm.
Can you help me ?
on my linux vmware guests i enable time sync with vmware, (edit the vmx
file and set the time sync option to true) disable ntpd (on the guest
os), and if the problem continues, then add a cron job for manuel
updating time (like "0-59/10 * * * * ntpdate pool.0.ntp.org")
that works very well on our systemes.....
IF the ntpd is running the guest os bounces araound the clock like no
other monkey :-)
regards
Bjarne.
