Hello gbloice, for a half year my Zenoss works fine. All Graphs displayed right. I Upgraded my Zenoss-VMWare Appliance from 2.3.3 to 2.4.0 to 2.4.1. After this all Graphs worked. Then after some time two of my Graphs on a HP-Proliant-Servers (Temperature) stops drawing. When I change the view to yearly I see drawing lines since start collecting data for this device up to stop-drawing-point. I search the Forum for solution. I noticed that many people have problems with drawing graphs since 2.4.1 is out. As example I show the links above. Then I try the all the tips discussed in the forum.
First I stop Zenoss, then delete *.zec and *.pid files in /$ZENHOME/var/ and after this I start Zenoss. At all my later attempts I always make these step. Second I remove the specific Graph and all dependance Graph-Points Thresholds and Data-Sources from the specific Device-Template. Restart Zenoss as described above. Add them again with same Name and Properties. Restart Zenoss. Third I delete the specific rrd-files for the specific data-points (Temperature-OIDs). After restart Zenoss and wait some time, no rrd-files would be created and the "Missing rrd-files"-Error show in the Graph. Since deleting rrd-files they wouldn't be created up today. Nothing special in logs. Even if I repeat: snmpwalk to the OID of the specific Device-Data-Source on the Zenoss-Console works and give a right value back from the Device with the Graph-Problem. The same behaviour when I test the specific data-source against the specific Device with the graph-problem via Web-Gui. It works. What is wrong here ??
