Hi all, We are running approximately forty servers. All forty machines run on both a public and mgmt network. For some reason a handful (4-5) of these Linux machines throw "snmp agent down" on the mgmt network. It always happens on the mgmt network and always within a few minutes the service comes back "snmp agent up" - however if we check the machine the service is fine. We have plenty of other Linux servers on the same network/switch and they never throw these errors and I'm just shaking my head. Of the forty servers approximately 6 are windows machines and they never do this, let alone the other thirty or so Linux machines. And it is always the same handful of machines that do this.
Can someone point us in a direction on where to check? I have debugged this already for awhile but am coming up blank. Could this be machine specific, even though it is throwing the error on only one of the two networks the machine is attached to???
