How bad would raidz2 do on mostly sequential writes and reads (Athlon64 single-core, 4 GByte RAM, FreeBSD 8.2)?
The best way is to go is striping mirrored pools, right? I'm worried about losing the two "wrong" drives out of 8. These are all 7200.11 Seagates, refurbished. I'd scrub once a week, that'd probably suck on raidz2, too? Thanks. -- Eugen* Leitl leitl http://leitl.org ______________________________________________________________ ICBM: 48.07100, 11.36820 http://www.ativel.com http://postbiota.org 8B29F6BE: 099D 78BA 2FD3 B014 B08A 7779 75B0 2443 8B29 F6BE _______________________________________________ zfs-discuss mailing list zfs-discuss@opensolaris.org http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/zfs-discuss
