I don't know how else to say it. You're trying to compare like with like, when the argument is about what that "like" is in essence. That's why it's a circular argument and doesn't help. I think I know what you're trying to say, but it's still circular. "actually happened" -- of course, but what does that mean? That's the question under discussion. Are we meant to apply modern secular concepts to understanding scriptures? I think we have to be careful of building boxes like that.
