I am having the same issue having upgrade from 17.04 to 17.10. I have a
Wacom Bamboo tablet and a Bluetooth mouse (I prefer to use only the
Wacom), and annoyingly, it seems the cursors work independently, one for
each device, but my Wacom cursor seems to disappear when using it.

and change your session from the default Wayland session to an X.org
session. This bug looks like it's confined to Wayland but doesn't exist

I observed that gnome-shell crashes when I tried to load the Software
Sources application. After a bit of trial and error it turned out that
the crash only occurs if searching files is enabled in Settings. I can
reliably trigger the crash by typing "so" into the search box.
I have discovered that if one waits longer, ignores the password popular
evolution will get the mail. If it doesn't then just click the get button.

I have the exact same issues. Upgraded from 16.10 to 17.04 and then immediately
to 17.10. Everything works fine, except this drag and drop behavior. It is
limiting to my productivity as I tend to use the desktop a lot.

Thanks for the feedback. This issue has been kind of solved by Gunnar
for ubuntu, for given selections of locales (comment #115).
The issue is that now I installed Mint, and realized that the fixes are
not spread to other ubuntu based distributions.
