Hello,
anyone can give me some tips or a workaround for my situation?
We have an Imail 5.08 running on Internet with a perm connection and some
other customer Mailhosts on it. We and also some of our customers have an
internal Exchange Server 5.5 running.
Nowadays we have the internal mails

There's a software add-on from Microsoft for your Exchange Server to collect

Hi,
I run Imail for a long time with no problems and now suddenly when someone tries to

Can someone please explain the srt files?
I thought they were created when someone did not log out but just left
and this would cause a mail screen to come up blank.
Therefore I recall reading here to delete the srt's to fix the problem of

Most likely a client problem! I'd delete the user account in Outlook, close
program and restart machine. Open Outlook, create user again and see if that
helps. If not, re-install Outlook, just to be sure and restart/try again.

Adam,
That is exactly as it is supposed to work. Either remove users, or add
forward to each user, to same address as nobody uses. ".,[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
(no "") in forward, will leave a copy in that users mailbox and send copy to
'address'.
Daniel Donnelly
Curtis,
If you change the 'Official Host Name' of the domain to walkerschools.org,
that would do what you want. If this is single/Primary domain, then also
need mods to \winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file. This file should have:
127.0.0.1 Localhost
should also have:
X.Y.Z.1
Jerry,
Have heard that this may be helped by stopping all the IMail Services prior
to running the restore. Worth a try.

Actually the user@domain login is only for domains that are sans IP
addresses. If you can set up a virtual domain with an IP address your users
will connect to this particular IP and just log on as their userid.

What I did was take a spare IP address and create a webmail.mydomain.org web
site in IIS and tell it to redirect to the proper mail.mydomain.org:8383
address on the Home Directory tab in the sites preferences. Very similar to
what I believe has been described here by others (incl. Mike Delp).
We have assisted various organizations moving from "greedy" isp's to
