is complaining that attachments are not being downloaded properly from
webmail with his Safari browser. They download as gibberish... is there
some known issues with Safari on this version of webmail?

I just had this problem. I found a file in the user folder, that was
locked and couldn't be deleted. I don't remember exactly, but I think
the file started with UT~. I had to reboot the server delete the files

Does Webmail work correctly from the browser of the IMail server machine?
We had illegible webmail attachments, but only when reading from certain
networks.
Our firewall was filtering http_allow_content_disposition (true).
When we opened this filter, everything worked like usual.

I am currently having some issues with random users opening up
attachments and getting garbage. I have applied the latest patches
to Imail, browser.cap file has the appropriate modifications
specified by ipswitch as does the system registry file. We use
Netscape, IE 5.5, and web messaging. I
This happens a lot with WEB Messaging; mostly with a forwarded message
that has an attachment. Similar issues with IMAP as well. My guess of
the cause is iMail's MIME parser which would handle parsing for WEB
Messaging and IMAP. Thought it would be fixed in 7.05 (and HF2) but
doesn't look like
