Vinyl - a number of local shops but it's never really for techno/house
these days
there isn't a single decent shop in town. the one remaining "dance" music
shop deals mostly online so even if you go into the shop the selection is
crap and most of it isn't even out for you to browse
and he makes a big deal out of going into his stock to retrieve something
for you in person
he's a total pain in the arse so I don't bother buying from him at all

plenty of second hand shops and antique malls and such to browse for the
funk & soul records
one really good shop for more indie rock - and I've found a few IDM type
things and ambient/experimental records there as well

I also buy on ebay - it's still worth it
one of the local shops that closed up their brick & mortar have a really
basic online catalogue that I've found a few older house/techno 12"/LPs
I've been selling a number of items via discogs myself - haven't shopped
there at all yet

for digital - Juno mostly but it depends on what I'm looking for
most of my purchases have the 3 dimensional shape
