Whats the deal with agents / agencies. Having perused the www for a bit, my conclusions are that there are alot of 'DJ' agencies set up for bedroom dj's in macclesfield who want their own residency in eyebeefa, or sign up for 200 quid and you're guaranteed a slot at Fernando's on a Friday night. Is it a case of they'll find you when they think you are a viable option or ? Do they have an exclusive right on all your gigs ? I know a couple of people with them and they take a cut when they get you a booking. That seems fair enough to me but no other fees take place.. do they. Just mulling things over.....as I'm sure there are agents and artists with some helpful input on here.
