Interesting. But the value I get out of spending 3-4 hours making a mix,
or playing in front of a crowd is what DJing is all about. Process, to
me, is the most important part of any activity. This seems to be an end
result oriented tool, which is fine. If you want to churn out a quick CD
to listen to on a road trip or something, that's cool. I feel that using
a computer program that automatically kicks out a CD of perfectly mixed
tunes in 30 minutes will never stand up to throwing some wax down on the
tables and engaing in a labor of love. Sure the end process is still
great, maybe not perfect, but it's the time you spent that made it all
worthwhile. But that's just my opinion. :)

hmmmm,

here's an issue I was talking about today with some friends...

There is now a program out that will mix MP3's for you, you can see the
wave
so you can do visual mixing, and it beat matches for you...

to prove the impact to me, he found a site that has all the latest
tracks
out of the UK scene in MP3 form for free, down loaded all the latest
Hooj
Chunes (not my personal choice you know, but what could I do??!!), and
within 30 minutes, had a slammin' mix CD burned, all made of brand new
tracks...

no tables, no records, nothing, and the thing is, the CD was well
composed,,
and sounded great...

any take on this?

BTW, the program is at www.mixmiester.com
