i've seen people do it the other way too.
practice a few months in their bedroom and think their ready to play in front of people then scare people away in a small club due to bad beat matching and track transitions. good for them for being confident enough in themselves to try it - bad for them after when they feel frustrated with themselves and their lack of response from patrons at the club.

some of em just don't want to...this kid I know
Mike...he plays some awesome techno sets with two
decks and a 909...he never promotes himself...he plays
at a couple house parties for friends every once in a
while...doesn't get out at all...and he's
awesome...when asked why he says he just does it for
himself...I guess I'm just to egotistical to identify
with that...;)
