Rita from Pilot Pictures responded to this question at the Cranbrook seminar a couple weeks ago. It seems that legal clearances are the last stumbling blocks to getting a distributor for "The Drive Home" (www.thedrivehome.net). When you have footage of a DJ spinning at an event like this, you need to get clearances from not only the DJ, but every owner of every track that is being played. Ever stop to think how many tracks got played at the DEMF? We saw a 15 min preview of the film, and it looks rewarding (although a bit more hip-hop was featured in that 15 mins. than I expected).
