older decks (older components) will definitely go bad faster - but as tristan said he hasn't have any problems. and i've seen some decks go down really fast (so they were totally un-usable), just in couple of years. i can't give any definitive answer. then again my friends other deck cannot be used between 0-+4 mark because it drifts so badly. above that it keeps the pitch so you can play but it is very slow to react to pitch changes. he has had the deck for couple of years and before that it had been mostly un-used in some club for few years. the deck was pitched up to maximum when he got it. and it's not the only one i've seen going bad. one could probably fix it by changing the whole pitch. sakke -- random rants and links at: http://www.arabuusimiehet.com/sakke/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
