NS-10 are not recommended as only monitors. All the pro studios only use them so that people can hear the mix on the same monitors in every studio, or to simulate lo quality hi-fi speakers... you never see them used as only monitors. They also seam to be useful as a "magnifying glass" for middle frequencies. But in general they sound pretty awful, and you wouldn't want to listen to them for a long time.
