You know, I really don't seem to remember ever hearing anyone complaining
about the boot legging of the Set Up 707 record that Edge of Motion put out
on DJAX. I know DJAX had a limited press run that was put on clear vinyl.
Probaby around 1,000 copies. DJAX never pressed another copy of it...yet I
remember Record Time getting two very large shipments of this in on black
white label vinyl. And I remember all my frineds being so happy that it was
bootlegged so they could finally have a copy. I bought 2 copies of it...I
sold one on eBay last year for $20. How evil does that make me??

peace

Jeff

thats not a very good comparison. anyway, the fact is that once
the mastering is done and the plates are made, the actual pressing
is not much more money, especially when youre guaranteed to sell a
few thousand more. UR keep their records in constant press. they
dont seem to have a problem with this bootlegging. if you strive
to have limited pressings, there are prices to be paid for that.
one of them is pissed potential customers who just want to buy
your music. someone else happened to step to the plate in place of
KDJ on this one. and with the demand like it is, who cam blame
them? i have the original amp dog knights 12", but i bought the
bootleg so that i can play it out as to not risk getting the damn
near irreplaceable original damaged at a gig.
