As for Detroit/D&B crossover, look no further than Jazz Juice's "Detroit" (Alex Reece and Wax Doctor I believe). Alex Reece also remixed Kenny Larkin's "Loop 2" and often professed a great love of Detroit Techno.
Didn't Lemon D also do a track titled simply "Detroit" ? or maybe I am confusing it with this Jazz Juice thing.... sorry don't own either so I can't verify, but I remember hearing it and really hearing the influence/homage of it all... hmm.
