oh, and oooh, Final Scratch? is this the one that uses mp3? does that sound ok in a club?
i've seen a final scratch set (from richie hawtin) and i couldn't tell it was mp3s. this could be for a few reasons. high bitrate encoding, using full wavs (like u do in Ableton Live) or just having properly recorded/normalised/non-clipped audio files. y'know this is one of the probs of digital djing, most djs don't know anything about sound levels etc....why is it i see so many djs running levels way in the red, boosting eqs way too much etc....sorry pet peeve. if you approach sound like this in the digital realm then it's no surpise that when a dj encodes his/her vinyl it's gonna sound rubbish. robin...
