Put simply if you have copyrighted music in mixes on your website be prepared for a nasty letter from the BPI/RIAA/whoever thinks they have the right to enforce this/etc

Remember Emotionelectric.com? That's what happened there. The site was totally non-commercial too and it makes no odds if the music you play is all from small independent labels that will never see a penny from the money in licensing that they will try and get from you for having mixes on the site.

Podcasts are no different afaik
