hmmm, I agree to some extent but New Years Eve always is a bit of an anti-climax.
I travelled to London from Liverpool and spent a good time in the company of like minded friends. Even though it was a lesser UR bill than we were told, I still revelled in hearing UR past, present & future played out in the archaic venue that was the setting. The djing was secondary for me at that point. As for KDJ. I got in that room and when I heard Analog live (my sleaze anthem) I just went off the end of the scale. Favourite moment for me was when I approached the front to see if Kenny was tinkling the ivories on the piano especially brought in. He wasn't. Was he at the decks? Negative to that too. Instead I spied him under the balcony area fooling with the controls on some girl instead. A true Moodymann live set, just how I'd always like to remember him. SMc Make the best of what you got. ----- Original Message ----- From: Fred Heutte <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <313@hyperreal.org> Sent: Thursday, March 21, 2002 1:50 AM Subject: Re: [313] RANX X313 ? > I don't know if it's the same Ranx who did the 2001 NYE party with > UR (who I had a brief email correspondence with but didn't actually meet), > but no matter.
