ID proof copy can be kept records. nk official has to do the KYC certification. ie applicant has to imprint his thumb impression on the account opening form and all levant documents to be taken at the time of account opening. the customer wishes to sign, his signature should be taken on the account opening rm. As per RBI guidelines, even for literate visually impaired applicants, thumb ipression should also be taken on all the forms submitted at the time of account jening, in addition to the signature. The thumb impression will be witnessed by a anch official mentioning his/her name and Employee Id and signature code, terate customers may issue cheques only with their signature without prior Jthentication by the bank. Thumb impression of such customers will not be required on e cheque. le signature / thumb impression (Left hand Thumb Impression (LTI) in case of Males and ight Hand Thumb Impression (RTI) in case of Females) has to be witnessed by a Branch fficial mentioning his/her name and Employee Id and signature code. stamp stating "Account of Visually Impaired person" should be affixed below the status Dde on the AOF. .
