Hi Mohit,

I use escolaters all the time. This is one area where I dispense with
a sighted guide. The trick is to hold the railing on the side of the
escolater and step on to it. Your feet will tell you when you are
going to reach the next floor. Similarly, keep track of the floor
before the escolater. It is distinct and this is true across the
world.

There are also times where you can hear the sound of the motor that
drives the escolater so you know that there is one around.
