We've had a long drawn discussion on the best practices for using escalators
a while ago with some excellent tips and inputs from persons traveling
overseas and in the country facing the often daunting experience of using
escalators. I think it was Prateek Agrawal who had initiated the thread.
Maybe if you looked up the older posts of the list, all your questions would
be answered.

As for using elevators or escalators, it is a personal preference. Some
persons are not comfortable using the escalator and feel safer in an
elevator, while others prefer things the other way around. I think an
escalator is quicker once you've got over the initial hesitation of using
it. It is constantly in motion and one rarely needs to wait to use it, while
the elevator takes much longer andoften one needs to wait long endless
minutes to get onto one. My own views, these.

Subject: [AI] Using escalators

Hi folks,

Nowadays, almost all malls have escalators.
So, do you all use escalators in malls, or do you prefer the elevator?
If you do use escalators, then please inform me about the way in which
you manage to use it successfully and safely.

Thanks and regards,
Mohit
